I smoked Macanudo Ascots for years, and like these much better! They seem smoother and more consistent. Plus the price is fantastic!

The cigars were fine. I like this size and flavor. Price is fair. However I had an issue with shipping. Paid for Priority Mail but didn't come within the 2 to 3 day guidelines. Ordered on a Thursday and received the next Wednesday. Claimed it was weather related but I am not convinced. Product is a good one though. I highly recommend them.

GREAT 20-30 minute smoke. Also, GREAT “bang-for-the-buck”. However, recently they are rarely in stock. Another criticism is that they are advertised as having a ring size of 32, which I understand, by definition means 32/64 of an inch. Every one of the 100’s I have received has had a ring size of between 28 and 29. Never the less, I recommend them and will continue to buy them when they are in stock

After smoking a few of these cigars they seem to have a flavorful tatse and aroma. They are pretty similar to the Macanudos. They will definately be my short cigar brand... Try them you'll like them....

I was looking for a smaller ring cigar that could be enjoyed when time was short. The Ascot alternatives proved to fit the need exactly as I had hoped! Even burn, full flavor and just the right size to enjoy while grilling. I will order these again soon!

For the most part, they are very similar to the cigars that were sold as macanudo "seconds".
They resemble macanudo ascots in size, color, and, for the most part, taste! They are a pretty good cigar, considering their size! They burn well, and are a good option for a quick smoke!

I smoke these cigars while on the motorcycle. They are great cigars for that. The problem I have is that you don't have them in stock on a constant basis

Very similar in taste to the Macanudo Ascot. Somewhat dryer and lacks the smoothness of the Macanudo, however they are a very acceptable substitute at the lower price.

Thanks again for the prompt delivery.
I must say having purchased the Partagas Alternatives and finding them to be an excellent mild but full flavoured smoke, I expected the Macanudo Alternatives to be a more peppery blend as is with the real Ascots.
However I have found them to be very mild and an easy draw. I do think they are a fantastic smoke and they burn beautifully.
But I am now partial to the Partagas having a bit more body and great flavour.
Mind you I will still mix and match as I find them both to be a really good everyday cigar with the enjoyment factor to match.
